**New Speed Limit on Route 4! 45 mph Zone Reduced to 40 mph**

On September 10th, the Vermont Traffic Committee approved a request from the Town of Rutland and the Town of Mendon to reduce the speed limit on Route 4 from the stoplight at Home Depot in Rutland Town to Medway Road in Mendon.  Please be advised that effective today September 23, 2025 the posted speed limit is being reduced from 45 mph to 40 mph.
